The Uncanny Counter Season 2: Counter Punch (2023)

Season 1

In the made up city of Jungjin, a gathering of four devil trackers called the Counters bear the exhausting undertaking of looking for and banishing underhanded spirits (akgwi)[b] that departure from the great beyond to acquire everlasting status. These malicious spirits have neighborhood human hosts who have carried out murder or want to kill, urge their host's longing to kill, and consumes the soul of the person in question. The Counters were once in trance states when an accomplice soul from Yung, the limit between the great beyond and the universe of the living, has them and gives them fit as a fiddle bodies and cognizance alongside godlike strength and heavenly capacities. Three of the Counters — Ga Mo-tak (Yoo Jun-sang), Do Ha-na (Kim Se-jeong) and Chu Mae-alright (Yeom Hye-ran) — act like specialists in Eonni's Noodles, a noodle café which fills in as their refuge.

At some point, the fourth Counter Jang Cheol-joong (Sung Ji-ru) is killed in a fight against areas of strength for a "3"[c] fiendish soul. As his soul gets consumed by his executioner, his Yung accomplice Wi-gen (Moon Sook) battles to find another insensible human to have. Uncannily, she is immediately drawn towards secondary school kid So Mun (Jo Byeong-kyu) who, regardless of being crippled, is by and by fit as a fiddle and alive. When Wi-gen had him, the unconscious Mun begins seeing odd changes to his body and starts seeing Wi-gen in his fantasies. Before long, Mun tracks down the responses in Eonni's Noodles, and as he turns into the substitution to the late Cheol-joong, he winds up in an exhilarating excursion of fighting against savage devils, reconnecting to his past, and revealing the cold, hard reality behind a significant redevelopment project in Jungjin.
